Volunteering in Villajoyosa, Alicante
Villajoyosa is a beautiful fishing village in Costa Blanca, Alicante. It's famous for its brightly painted houses overlooking the sea, which belonged to fishermen who wanted to be able to see their homes while they were out at sea.
Villajoyosa has managed to keep its original charm despite the popularity of the Costa Blanca. It still has an active fishing port, a well kept old town and three chocolate factories!
During an Estación Inglesa programme we take a guided walk around the village to learn about the history and legends of this beautiful location.
The hotel
The hotel Allon Mediterrània**** is a modern beachfront hotel in the centre of the village. You can enjoy beautiful sea views from every corner of the hotel. It's a fantastic location to enjoy the beach, take a short stroll to the old town or visit the fishing port.
Volunteers are accommodated in single rooms with ensuite bathroom, full board.
